Dear Members,

In the article, which is coming from TUBITAK via our Union, Council of Europe invite cities for mission of “100 Carbon Free and Smart City Until 2030”, within this scope it started call for statement of intent in the November 25, 2021.

Mission’s aims are that to reach 100 carbon free and smart Europe city until 2030 and to ensure that these cities act as center of experimentation and innovation to ensure that all other European cities follow the same route until 2050. Joining the mission, cities are chosen will place at the front lines of the transition to carbon neutrality as part of the Europe Green Consensus. As the fight against changing of climate turns into necessary solutions’ effective use, cities will be the first applicator of the aim of the being carbon free. These period ensure that less air pollution, less traffic, less consumption of energy and more helatier life to citizen.  

Within this scope, cities should have statement of invent and expected to present information about their avaible situation of being a carbon free city, continuing works and plans of future. Representative can register call from https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/CNC-Pre-Registration address. Last date of the registiration is January31, 2022. Commission will explaine list of the cities by April 22 after the evaluation made by independent experts.

Cities which has participated the mission, will parepare “Climate City Aggreement” together with local stakeholders and citizens and will appy.
