According to the Directive of European Union numbered 2020/1054, the prcatice of “ manually recording border crossing in the tachograph”, which envisages the registration of border crossing during transportation between EU member states, entered into force on February,2.

Within this scope, at the beginning of the first rest, which will be used as close to the border as possible right after the border gates that vehicles have passed during the transportation operations to the EU member stataes, they must manually enter the code of that country into the digital tachograph while the vehicle is parked.

According to the information which is taking from Italy, Ministry of Interior Italy has published circular about of the this situation.

According to the aforementioned circular matters, it is stated that in case the country code is registered late or has not been registered yet, outside the port of the destination, outside the train station or at stopover points far from the border, a penalty between 52 Euros-102 Euros is to be applied.

If the people who has vehicle, which is equipped digital tachograph system, is carefull about this rules, which is mentioned above, penalty practices will be prevented. Even though this rule is about the transporters and drivers registered in EU member states, in case of any penalty action in this regard, if a notification is made to staum@tobb.org.tr, attempts will be made before the relevant authorities.
