“Domestic Goods” Regulation Discussed in Detail at Our Chamber

A comprehensive briefing on the “Domestic Goods Regulation and Implementation Procedures” was held at our Chamber by officials from the Ministry of Industry and Technology, General Directorate of Industry.

The meeting was attended by Mehmet Çağatay Taşkın, Head of the Department of Industrial Cooperation, Abdullah Yiğit, Head of the Department of Analysis and Evaluation, and ministry experts İlknur Evcili and Hakkı Erdoğan Demirci, who delivered the presentations. Also present were our Chamber’s Secretary General Ahmet Şerbetçioğlu, Deputy Secretary General İsa Sarıaydın, Provincial Director of Industry and Technology Refik Tezcan, and our Chamber’s experts.

During the meeting, the scope and implementation principles of the Domestic Goods Regulation were thoroughly examined. Participants received detailed information on the legislation and application processes, key concepts, methods for calculating domestic contribution ratios, and localization strategies.

The presentations emphasized the importance of promoting domestic production, prioritizing local products in public procurement, and ensuring that companies can accurately and effectively calculate their domestic contribution ratios. Practical challenges and proposed solutions were also shared with the participants.

The meeting concluded with a Q&A session and an exchange of views among attendees.
