An Important Collaboration for Women’s Employment

Hosted by the Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry, an important meeting aimed at increasing women’s employment was held in cooperation with the Kırıkkale Provincial Directorate of İŞKUR and KADEM.

Within the scope of the meeting, a preliminary discussion and planning session was first conducted with the participation of Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ahmet Varlı, Secretary General Ahmet Şerbetçioğlu, İŞKUR Provincial Director Ferhat Metin, İŞKUR Job and Vocational Counselor Necmi Tonga, and KADEM Kırıkkale Representative Aşkın Taştan.

Subsequently, an information and Q&A session was held in the Chamber’s meeting hall with the participation of representatives from the relevant institutions, along with female trainees.

During the meetings, the “Women’s Touch in Every Profession Project,” implemented under the protocol signed between the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and İŞKUR, was discussed. The project aims to increase women’s participation in the workforce and enable them to take a more active role in the industrial sector.

In line with the needs of Kırıkkale as an industrial city, it is planned to open a CNC Machine Operator course for women who are high school graduates or below, within the Vocational Training Center affiliated with our Chamber. It is aimed that trainees who successfully complete the training will undertake internships at relevant companies and subsequently be employed.

During the meetings, detailed information was provided regarding the course start dates, training process, and content; supports and practices within the scope of the İŞKUR protocol were explained; and information about post-training internship and employment processes was shared with the trainees. It was stated that the CNC course will be launched in two groups, with the first group starting on April 8, 2026, and the second group on April 13, 2026. Additionally, views were exchanged on strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, improving women’s vocational skills, and developing sustainable employment models.

In his statement, Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ahmet Varlı said:
“Increasing women’s participation in production processes is of great importance both for economic development and social progress. As a Chamber, we will continue to take an active role in projects that support women’s employment.”

The Kırıkkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry aims to increase women’s participation in the workforce and contribute to regional employment through these initiatives.
